This assignment involves student researching a topic (an ethical issue in the criminal justice field) and incorporate at least eight peer-reviewed journal research articles AND 6 Supreme Court cases to support their stance on this ethical issue. Your topic for this project will be:

The purpose of this final paper is to apply your knowledge of the material.  The paper should be organized. Please use section headings and be sure to include both an introduction and a conclusion.  A good introduction will (1) identify the topic and its importance; and (2) give the reader a “roadmap” or “GPS turn-by-turn directions” telling the reader what to expect from the paper. This can be as simple as stating the section headings: “This essay will continue with a discussion of …”

Be sure to follow APA style, write in the third person (avoid I, you, we, me…) and include a minimum of one citation per paragraph.  In this 400-level course, integrate the readings together so that you can cite multiple sources in each paragraph (and sentence!).  Remember, you are writing the essay. The scholarly articles should only be used as evidence to support the claims you are making.

 

This final paper should be about 5 pages, double spaced, 12 inch Times new Roman, and incorporate 6 or more peer-reviewed journal articles AND 6 Supreme Court cases.  The cover page, abstract, references and any tables or graphs do NOT apply to the word count.  Again, APA publication style is expected.
