Instructions

For this assignment, you will begin to brainstorm the type of questions that you will use for your survey to plan for Portfolio Milestone #3. You will start fleshing out the survey questions and the type of stem that you will use. You should have a minimum of 10 questions (for Portfolio Milestone #3, you are required to have 18-20 questions, so you can submit all questions or just the minimum. If you submit all the questions, you will gain your faculty member’s feedback before the survey development). As part of your brainstorming using as many options as possible for type of question based on your research questions and how you plan to analyze your data (this is also where you start thinking about how you plan to analyze the results, meaning the type of statistical tests you will perform, since that can influence the type of questions you ask).

Provide a brief discussion of why you have chosen each type of question as it relates to your research.

For example, your submission might look something like this:

DEMOGRAPHIC QUESTIONS (x of questions):

Sex (dichotomous): Three options (Male, Female, Other)

Age: (list your breakdown into age groups)

FEEDBACK QUESTIONS (x of questions):

Do you own a smart phone (dichotomous):  Yes/No ? Use Display Logic to display the next question if the answer is yes.

How often do you upgrade (Rating): (Choose one)

❑ Every year

❑ Every two years

❑ Every three years

❑ Every four years

❑ Five or more years

OPEN ENDED (x of questions):

Submit your survey questions in a Word document, you will not design the survey yet in Google Forms as this is part of the planning phase. Include a title page but this submission does not need to follow APA format since you are creating questions. This submission should be approximately 2 pages, depending on how you format your questions, not including the title page.
