Description
Discussion: Domestic Terrorism and the U.S. Government Response
Domestic terrorism represents a unique challenge to the U.S. government, particularly to federal, state, and local law enforcement, given America’s long history of prizing personal freedoms and privacy.
Do you feel that the U.S. government is doing enough—or too much—to protect its citizens from another attack by a domestic terrorist with regard to surveillance (e-mail, phone, etc.) of persons living in the United States?
Do feel that the National Security Agency (NSA) should have a role in domestic surveillance of U.S. citizens? If not, why not, and if so, what should that role entail – in sum, “where should the line be drawn” with regard to such surveillance?
Remember to support your statements with examples and references.
Note: Your initial response should be at least 150-200 words to demonstrate your knowledge of the subject matter and your own critical thinking.
