For this paper you will choose a specific location/place ( that is your favorite and explore how that place relates to what you believe about the world. You will practice dialectical movement in your writing as you describe the place in rich detail and also show the importance of that place and describe what you believe about the world. You will practice inquiry through observation, exploration and reflection. outside research; some may require much more personal reflection.
There is no minimum number of sources or restraints on place—it can be any place you choose, as long as it means something to you and connects to your larger ideas.
Your essay should:
• describe a place and its importance.
• clearly express your thoughts and ideas.
• engage narrative writing.
• use descriptive language.
• show evidence of dialectical movement.
