Material needed: At least THREE (no more than five) print and TV ads; you can also download advertisements from the internet.

Instructions: Create a PowerPoint presentation with at least 8- Content slides. In your own words, answer ALL of the following questions:

  1. 1. What is the difference between central route to persuasion and peripheral route to persuasion?
  2. 2. Using your knowledge of persuasion, select three  advertisement (print or internet ads) for different products. Remember to choose tasteful (non-sexual) ads for this activity.
  3. 3. Describe the product being advertised.
    1. a. Is the ad using the central or peripheral route to persuasion?
    2. b. Would you buy this product based on the advertisement? Why or why not?
    3. c. Imagine you are the executive for an advertisement agency overseeing the accounts for your selected ads. The companies want to reach a different demographic, how would you attract the new audience for the product(s)?
