as a way to critically reAect upon a specific week’ s readings and discussions. You can also tie your brief ‘s critical reflection to other

readings we have had orto our inclass discussions. I do not expect you to write

about ALL of the assigned readings from theweek of your choosing, but to hone into one or two readings that resonated with you.

1) Summarize. The first 1,2 paragraphs should be a brief summary of the readings you are writing about.

What argument is the author(s) trying to make?
Next, you should focus the remainder of the paper on the following questions:

.What does the reading have to do with particular aspects of diversity, power,
opportunity, and/or schooling?
. In what ways is the argument persuasive or not to you? Why? Why not?
.What do you think the author failed to consider about the isse(s)? Why? Why
not?
Where do you agree/disagree with the author? Why? Why not?

3) Personal Reflection
.What personal connections do you make/or not make to the readings?
(consider your own life experiences, schooling, social life, etc.)
