Description
I attached the instructions and use plz one quote from the readings I send you and make sure its argument essay .
Ensure you have a perfect thesis statement and quality examples
The key question is what is the state of marriage
Also use examples of mythos, logos, and pathos to prove the state of marriage in this country
Background: Over the last couple of weeks we have been discussing and reading about relationships. We have pondered
how people meet and get to know one another, why and how people commit to each other, and even the effects of these
relationships on our society, our families, and ourselves. The discussion has centered on what marriage is and how/why
we primarily choose this form of relationship in our society. Now we synthesize all of these ideas and write about this
topic.
Assignment: Write a 1000-word essay (3 pages) in which you explore the role logos, pathos, and mythos play in our
beliefs about marriage, and then take a position on the state of marriage in the United States today. You will be proving
an interesting and insightful point about our (U.S.) institution of marriage. This is not an informational essay – it is an
argument – you are trying to convince your reader.
Be sure to support your essay using concrete examples and clear explanations – develop and explain your ideas – don’t
simply list!
REQUIREMENTS:
Quote/Paraphrase from at least one of the class readings, but no other outside sources. This is not a summary of the
articles we have read, but a clear incorporation of your ideas and support from the readings.
Use formal language: Even though this essay is your personal position, there is no need to say ‘I think’, ‘I believe’, ‘In
my opinion,’ ‘to me,’ etc. Everything you write in an essay (that isn’t cited) is your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. When
you announce that each idea is just your opinion, thoughts, or feelings you discount the validity of those arguments. Just
cross out these phrases in your essay and see who much stronger your ideas sound.
Personal experiences and anecdotes: You may want to use concrete examples to illustrate your point. Just remember that
anecdotes are NOT logical evidence (proof), so please don’t use them to prove a point.
