Knapp’s Relational Stage Model describes how relationships come together or how some relationships come apart. However, Knapp’s model does not explain WHY a relationship moves from one stage to the next. Our assignment this week seeks to answer the WHY question.
Respond to ALL the following questions/prompts:
1. Using a relationship you’ve experienced coming together, choose a theory from Chapter 10 that explains why the relationship moved from one step to the next. Analyze how the theory explains WHY your relationship moved closer.
2. Using a relationship you’ve experienced coming apart, choose a different theory from Chapter 10 that explains why the relationship declined. Analyze how the theory explains WHY your relationship moved apart.
