Assessment Task 3
Please note that Assessment Task 3 should include multimodal components including images, text and your voice
To complete this assignment you need to go to Weeks 10, 11 and 12 Canvas blocks and select an “elective”. This will serve as your focus for AT3. Read the readings supplied by me in your chosen area to deepen your knowledge of the context for the multimodal approach. You need to then carefully SOURCE another 3 readings in the same elective area that you will use to guide your overall design of the assignment.
Your Task:
Draw on scholarly and professional literature to design a theoretically sound, yet practical professional learning experience/workshop for colleagues to assist them in developing their knowledge and skill for teaching with a multimodal approach to literacy in a specified content area, incorporating ideas for differentiation for diverse learners. Your presentation should last in the range of 15-18 minutes.
To accompany the presentation, you should source, or create and explain ONE example of a high quality multimodal teaching resource that your colleagues could use in their teaching going forward, as well as a curated and annotated account of your THREE carefully sourced professional readings. Two of these readings should have been sourced by you (not ones used in the course), ONE can be from the course reading provided for your ELECTIVE. Each reading MUST be related to the main focus you are addressing in your professional learning workshop. To help teachers explore more, you should also create a 1-2 page infographic handout (Canva.com is useful here) that includes crucial information about what teachers should consider as they make teaching decisions, useful resources and/or professional organisations that are high quality sources for teachers to draw on (e.g. professional learning courses, websites, conferences, podcasts, webinars etc) Provide URL and description of resource.)or further information.
Your presentation must be multimodal, but you may choose the format of your submission (e.g. as a website, Prezi, Google drive folder, Google classroom with embedded videos, Sway etc.,)
