This Case Study is to be read in conjunction with the chapter in our text regarding learners with hearing impairment.  

The reading, analysis, and written report on this case is due at the end of Week 10 in the semester. 

Here are the 3 points to address in the analysis:

1)  Describe the child under discussion as fully as possible, including age, gender, family structure, SES (socioeconomic status), learning strengths and challenges, and current levels of educational performance in as many subject areas as possible.

2) What is currently being done/taking place for the child that is working to promote their academic and social/emotional success? What is currently being done/taking place for the child that is not working/interfering with the child’s academic and social/emotional success? 

3) What recommendations would you make to create more successful academic and social/emotional outcomes for this child? (Use your knowledge of federal and state law, community agencies/resources, ethical considerations, and the chapter material associated with this case) to formulate your response.
